In this episode, we taste another of the 19 Crimes Wines from South East Australia, this time their Cabernet Sauvignon.
These wines each depict a criminal deported to Australia for a crime committed in the UK, quite often for something like unauthorised fishing.
On the nose, we smelt Black Cherry, a touch of vanilla and a “Jammy” smell probably promoted by the full-on fruit notes.
On the palate, the wine had a great mouthfeel, with a lot going on the glass giving a complex combination of flavours and then finally leaving an after taste of cherries.
We mentioned in the video that another YouTuber, John from HillBillySelectReviews, had reviewed this wine with two of his pals and interestingly they also detected black cherry and Jamminess on the nose. They also came up with a hint of chocolate and raisin on the palate.
