In the 4th part of this episode where we check out wines available in the supermarket for under £6.50, we try out this House Rioja from Sainsbury’s.
The colour was a deep purple and on the nose, cheery was the predominant aroma.
However, John M felt that there was a vinegar tinge to the small – not a good start!
On the palette the cherry flavour hits you and then the tannins kick in and then the taste is gone.
So a good honest simple table wine and at £5.00 one can not complain.
John L described it as a good country wine.
