In this episode, we taste one of the Wines John stocks in his shop Czerwik’s in Brighouse, West Yorkshire.
John M really likes this wine given the similarity it has to Rioja.
The wine, which is from the Ribera del Duero region in Spain is made from the Tempranillo grape.
The wine has a very deep, rich burgundy colour.
On the nose, or to put it another way, the smell is of black cherry and black currant.
Taste-wise the fruit comes through first and then the hint of leather!
This cab found on Czerwik’s website for £15.99 at https://czerwik.co.uk/product/3-ases-roble/
A delicious wine to sit down and enjoy with a little cheese or Spanish Ham
