We continue our series on Chardonnays available throughout the world with the Casillero del Diablo Chardonnay.
It has a typical straw colour for a chardonnay with a hint of a green hue.
As soon as you sniff this wine you can immediately identify it as a Chardonnay.
It has peachy, tropical fruit notes.
Taste-wise the taste is great, nice a full mouthful with a little acidity present which gives it a great balance and a reasonable length.
It leaves the mouth with a nice fresh feeling and for £6.00 this wine is exceptionally excellent value.!
This wine would probably pair very well with a nice creamy pasta dish or any white meat dish.
For a cheese pairing, John M recommends a “delice de cremier” cheese or “montagnollo” cheese.
