In this episode, we add another malt whisky review to our channel, this time the wonderful creation we are reviewing is 25 years old Glenfarclas.
This whisky comes from the highlands area of Scotland.
John M goes through the difference in the technique of appreciating and tasting malt whisky as opposed to tasting wine.
On the nose, you can detect dried fruit like dried apricot.
One can also detect the sherry overtones from being matured in old sherry casks.
On drinking the flavour of banana and apricots come through, followed by vanilla and cream.
As whisky ages, whisky tends to become smoother and develop more subtle tastes.
