La Colombre Sauvignon Blanc Wine Review (Episode 356)

In this episode, we taste the La Colombe Sauvignon Blanc produced in France.

The colour is a very pale yellow or a light lemon colour.

John L immediately smelt pear drops which John M thought was unusual for a Sauvignon Blanc.

John M would normally expect to detect gooseberries, nettles and fresh-cut grass when smelling Sauvignon Blanc.

Taste-wise the taste was not as acidic as one would expect from a Sauvignon Blanc.

The taste normally lasts for longer or put another way the wine’s length is disappointing.

This wine retailed at £17 a bottle and as such is very disappointing for this price.
