We taste and review Most Wanted’s Primitivo wine, priced at £8:00.
Whilst Primitivo is made from the same grape as Zinfandel the conditions it is grown in, earth, climate, waterfall etc. typically make for very different characteristics.
The colour is a very dark ruby colour, rather like a ruby port.
On the nose has a eucalyptus scent with a hint of mint.
Fruit wise it was very difficult to recognise any obvious contenders!
The taste is very different from what one would expect based on the nose.
The tannins are a little too strong when drinking the wine on its own, suggesting this wine would be better accompanied by some food.
In the video, we suggest food and cheese to pair with this wine.
