We review Penfolds Koonunga Hill Shiraz Cabernet 2019. Penfolds is an international renown wine brand from Australia which markets wines right across the price bands.
In this particular episode, we review a wine at the lower end of their mid-range wines at £10
The colour of the wine is a very deep red with a purple rim colour.
On the nose, the wine smells of blackcurrant with a hint of coffee.
The initial flavour taste was very powerful and then the tannins cut the taste to about 30% to 50% of the initial level within a few seconds.
We suggest some dishes to pair this wine with and we also suggest cheese to pair with it.
