We taste a Sauvignon Blanc from the well know Australian Oxford Landing wine label.
At £6:50 this is a competitive price for a Sauvignon Blanc, but is it excellent value for money?
The nose does not have a typical Sauvignon Blanc aroma, it has more pear and stone fruits than one would expect rather than fresh-cut grass, elderflower, nettles, and grapefruit one would expect.
Taste wise the wine continues with the stone fruit and tropical fruit flavour which is unusual for a Sauvignon Blanc.
The length is rather short, and the taste is thin.
At 10.5% this would make a great social wine in the summer.
