Campo Viejo Rioja Grand Reserva 2015 (Episode 409)

We taste a Grand Reserva Rioja from the Campo Viejo stable.

This wine won a double gold in New York in 2020.

The wine has a burgundy colour has a slight tawny hint to it.

The nose is immensely powerful and comes to find you!

Not only is it powerful it smells wonderful, the cherry and oak together with a coffee scent are all present.

The taste is one of cherry and wood.

At £16:00 however, the wine is not overly complex or powerful enough and is nowhere near what the nose promised.

This is a nice wine but maybe not worth £16:00.
